Lighters UP is a dying form at concerts.  In this digital age more phones and cameras are held high during the ballads.  I am also guessing the amount of smokers are less than over a decade ago.

LIVE-Lakini’s Juice (Live in concert from the Paradiso)

So this isn’t a video video and visually…no it’s not mind blowing but I want to take a minute to focus on music….live music…Going to a concert is almost indescribable, especially your first time seeing one of your favorites. Sure you can watch a video and see your musicians up close and personal but when your there…when they sing that song that takes you back to your first love, a great moment with friends or the one that got away, there is nothing like it! Watching the emotion that takes over the musicians, connecting in some small way to someone you don’t know. Seeing live music does so much for me, for 2 hours nothing else matters and the world outside of that venue doesn’t exist.

Before 2009 when the band broke up, LIVE had been performing with each other for over 20 years. They toured almost every year and sometimes twice a year. Each show they put in some blood sweat and tears. I think in this concert footageyou can see at least the sweat! You can also see the audience singing along, dancing, gripping the stage…makes me want to get to a show NOW! So enjoy your radio, ipod, videos, your concert dvds…..but know that nothing compares to standing a few feet away from the person who wrote and is singing that song you love!
